    "Took 3 breakfasts and one evening meal in hotel. Breakfasts offered more choice than many european hotels. Would have liked there to have been a bar in the hotel. Hotel is approximately 15 to 20 minutes walk from city centre along a busy road. Whilst this was not a problem for us, other would-be vivstors might wish to take it into consideration. Staff were courteous and helpful." (97603244)

    "Unfortunately there was no evening meal provided on a Sunday.Very welcome self service tea,coffee and cakes between 12.00 and 17.00 daily.Meals generally were very good.The hotel although not in the city centre is only a 5min.bus ride from town and the bus stop is just over the road. Overall we had a very enjoyable stay and the staff were very helpful." (99546532)

    "I have stayed at this hotel several times this year and as always every thing was of the usual high standard I have come to expect except the room was a bit shabby compared to the previous rooms I have stayed in." (99568131)

    As always the room was neat and clean

    The room I noticed was in need of a small refurb, skirting boards where very scuffed and the bathroom had water damage to the bottom of the door and the tiles around the shower area where showing signs of mildew. The remote control for the Tv had no cover over the battery part and it was very loose.

    "Nella procedura di prenotazione onlline non c'era la possibilità di diversificare l'entità del gruppo familiare. La mia famiglia è di due adulti e una bambina di 12 anni. Le uniche opzioni possibili erano due adulti oppure un adulto e un bambino. La richiesta di prenotazione è partita quindi per due adulti e nello spazio delle richieste particolari ho inserito l'aggiunta di un letto. Come specificato nel punto precedente, questa mia richiesta non era stata assolutamente presa in cosiderazione e solo al momento del check-in ci siamo accorti della mancanza del letto richiesto. Il personale dell'albergo si è comunque dimostrato assai cortese e nel giro di trenta minuti aveva aggiunto il letto mancante." (99805769)

    Probably the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed in.Very conveniant for bus service and excellent train service to Barcelona from Girona.Very friendly staff.

    The only slight problem was a lack of tea/coffee in room.

    "Girona is a very beautiful city and the City Walls walk is a must, highlight of the holiday for me. I have rated the hotel poorly because my room didn't offer what I have come to expect, but I did not avail myself of the other facilities like the restaurant, sauna, swimming pool, etc." (99953798)

    "It's in a nice residential area, a pleasant half hour walk from the bus / train interchange partly across landscaped parkland areas. We arrived late at night and didn't use the facilities much but it all looked good for the price." (99300842)

    "The actual room accommodation is very good, there is a room with accsess to the internet, you can leave your luggage there to collect when you go the airport. I do not like the fact that there is absolutely NO facility to obtain a hot drink (tea,coffee)when you get up in the morning, either in your room or the rest of the hotel, there is a machine outside near the pool, but that only facilitates cold drinks, we are not asking for much, but to pay to stay at this otherwise great Hotel Costabella, and not to be able to have a hot drink is not good, we have stayed at the Hotel Costabella around 6 times and it has always been good, but on our last stay we were kept awake in the early hours by late night revelers making a great deal of noise between 2AM and 5.30 AM but we think this was a one off, so that`s ok."     The accommodation was very good, nice decor, very clean, mini bar good, the bathroom facilities such as, combs, shower gel, shoe cleaner and soap, were an unexpected pleasure. All in all, very good allround.

    If you book your accommodation without breakfast, there is not even a facility to make yourself a cup of tea or coffee in the rooms, also, if you go into the restaurant even for a cup of coffee? They will charge you 9 Euro`s.

    "Günstigere Alternative zu anderen Hotels direkt in der Stadt. Etwa 60 Euro pro Zimmer pro Nacht, allerdings ohne Frühstück. Supermärkte sind aber direkt um die Ecke, sowie ein Imbiss. Bushaltestelle ist ein paar Meter vom Hotel entfernt, Linie 2. Haben wir aber nicht benutzt, da wir innerhalb von 15 Minuten zu Fuss in der Altstadt waren. Die Altstadt ist wunderschön! Auf jeden Fall die Stadtmauer entlang laufen und ins jüdische Viertel gehen. Wenn man vom Hotel in die Stadt läuft immer geradeaus, über den Fluss und direkt am Anfang ist eine Touristen-Info. Die haben auch kostenlose Stadtpläne und Sonntags von 10-14 Uhr geöffnet(die anderen Tage länger). Vom Flughafen Girona fährt ein Bus von Ryan Air zum Busbahnhof in die Stadt. Kostet 1,95 und dauert ca.25 min (Ticket im Flughafen kaufen). Fährt immer um halb ab. Zum Flughafen zurück fährt der Bus immer zur vollen Stunde an Haltestelle 7 (Ticket im Bus erhältlich). Vom Busbahnhof aus sind wir mit dem Taxi bis zum Costabella gefahren (Taxifahrer kennen die ganzen Hotels). Kostet ca. 6 Euro und dauert etwa 10min. Vom Busbahnhof (auch direkt vom Flugahfen) fahren auch sämtliche Busse ab. Nach Barcelona (ca. 1h Fahrt Hin und Rück etwa 24€), an die Küste (ca. halbe h Fahrt) usw. Innerhalb von Girona kommt man eigentlich zu Fuss ganz gut überall hin. Es fahren aber auch Linienbusse. Das einzige, was nicht so toll ist: direkt beim Hotel ist keine Bar oder Disco. Aber das ist ja individuell zu betrachten. Insgesamt ist das Costabella definitiv zu empfehlen, jedenfalls für einen Kurztrip. Ansonsten könnte es bei einem knappen Geldbeutel teuer werden."
