    "Il y a dans l'hôtel des chambres non fumeurs et fumeurs. Ce qui est très bien pour les personnes non fumeurs." (99549134)

    Hotel bien situé avec le métro Russel Square ou Holborn à côté ! Quelques restaurants et bars à proximité de l'hôtel ! L'accueil a été très bien ! Le personnel est très sympa il ne parle pas bcp le Français. La chambre était situé au 5ème étage, un mobilier sobre mais fonctionnel.

    Une robinetterie pour la douche pas très pratique.

    Well located and near a good range of everyday shops and restaurants. Surprisingly quiet for such a busy, central location. Quiet air conditioning unit - they do exist!! Very good value for money.

    None really. Although not as recently decorated and refitted as other hotels, everything was clean and worked - it is what you would expect for the price.

    hotel accueillant, bien placé par rapport aux bus et métro, chambre 403 spacieuse, petit déjeuner copieux et varié. personnel agréable.

    chambre non climatisée, pas de mini-bar (pour l'été), bruyante si on ouvre la fenêtre, ménage moyen.

    "Dans la chambre 510 qu'on m'a attribué à l'arrivée, il faisait 36ºC encore a minuit alors que dans la rue il en faisait 17ºC, fenetre ouvrant à moitié, rue bruyante:impossible d'y rester. A ma reclamation on m'a changé à la 614 (chambre fumeur dont les oreillers empestaient le tabac froid!) un peu moins chaude et avec une vue.Il semble que l'hotel a un probleme avec l'extracteur du restaurant -bruyant- qui chauffe terriblement certaines chambres.J'aurais aimé le savoir à la reservation.Je crois qu'il existe de grands écarts de confort entre les différentes chambres de cet hotel."     Bonne insonorisation de la chambre par rapport aux autres clients. Bon petit dejeuner abondant. Serviettes amples changées quotidiennement.Personnel aimable et très poli et serviable.Journaux à disposition.Ventilateur dans la chambre.

    Literie en mauvais état. Couvre lit douteux, matelas aux ressorts saillants,sommier déglingué, draps étriqués,oreillers et couverture vetustes. Bouilloire et baignoire sales et moisies.Menage pas fait (on se bornait à tirer le couvre lit).TV archaique (3 chaines seulement et brouillées).Moquette fatiguée.

    Good,clean, well equiped rooms. Helpfull, friendly staff. Good overall atmosphere. Excellent location.

    "l'hotel étant situé à l'angle d'un grand boulevard, risque de bruit pour les chambres donnant sur celui-ci, notre chambre donnait sur une rue perpendiculaire donc très calme, le check-in est à 14h mais en nous présentant à 12h, nous avons pu accéder à notre chambre tout de suite, chambre confortable, station de métro à 300m et british museum à 2 rues, aucun souci concernant la réservation et le paiement par master-card" (3304006405)

    Fairly handy location, the restaurant where doors to the outside concertinered up allowing a very nice 'airy' feel to breakfast. Could provide tube map instantly.

    The bed was hard, the air con practically non effective, pre-arrival - the receptionist could not direct me to the hotel even when I said I was on Woburn Place at Russell Square ie less than 100 metres away on effectively the same road!

    "I will return in a heartbeat! London hotels can be insanely expensive and this was extremely reasonable for such a great location. The staff was always available and friendly in helping me with anything I needed. The lobby and bar restaurant were bright and attractive and the whole place was very clean and comfortable."     The friendlyness of the staff at reception - we were upgraded free of charge as they had no triple rooms left - even better as we were there celebrating my 40th birthday.

    Lack of hot water in the shower in the mornings and the hairdryer tubing was split so it was unuseable

    The staff, especially at the reception desk, are very friendly and helpful.

    A few of the catering staff struggle to understand English.

    "We ordered a tripple room ensuite for 3 male adults. We were expecting 3 single beds, but got 1 single and 1 double. We also had to ask for an ekstra cover for 1 person to the double bed. No big problem but unnecessary when 3 male adults are staying together." (97694924)

    Nice room, perfect distance to the city center.

    The staff in the breakfastroom didn't ask us if we wanted coffee or tea and toast. We had to ask for it.

    "I would like the hotel to have offered at least a 50% discount on the room because there was no hot water on both nights. I could only convince the staff to take 15% off.     Excellent decorative state, clean, tidy, high quality furnishings, all facilities in working order.

    My room faced the street, and I was disturbed by traffic noise. No free internet access. Shower controls not up to standard of rest of hotel (mixer from bath taps).

    The overall experience was not that good, hotel needs to improve the condition of its furniture and facilities.

    Housekeeping never show up, room doors make too much noise when it close which wake any one up from sleep. Any one can easily hear people in other rooms, which is very disturbing

    I found that the staff were pleasant and helpful...the room was clean and tidy ..there were plenty of refreshments ie tea,coffee, water etc. There was also air conditioning..bathroom was clean too.

    No bad points during this visit. We had to pay for parking at another hotel which I had not been made aware of. There should be some parking concessions made.

    Everyone was so helpful and friendly. Room was roomy and clean. Liked the late breakfast idea and that we could leave our luggage at hotel until later that day.

    Very friendly staff and the room was spotlessly clean, with crisp bedlinen and fluffy white towels. Double glazed windows kept the room quiet and airconditioning worked well. Restaurant and bar both available on site and good value.

    "am sorry but me the wife did not enjoy our stay at the hotel on Southamton Row London for a few reasons. The bed was very tatty looking on the uncovered bases, the carpet in the room was not very clean as we had flee bites the next morning but the braekfast was nice & i went out early to get milk for coffee as there was no one at the reseption to ask for any & found out that the houtel a few doors down had better facilities & rooms which i asked to see before staying & it was cheaper too. It was £125 per night as where the waverley was £159 & did not feel we had our monies worth. We will not aray at any of those hotels again . We had better for less in alot of hotels but that place was horrible & well over priced Infact i had better when i stayed in a shared room in a hostel years ago.     I did'nt like anything about the Hotel

    Checking in was poor,the girl hardly spoke to me,the room was horrible for that amout of money I paid,the furniturs was old and nasty,the radiators did not work,the room was freezing,the showers did not work properly,the water was tepid in the beginning of my shower,then went very cold suddenly,the breakfast was horrible,every thing was cold,the staff at breakfast could'nt understand what I was asking for,just a pot of HOT WATER--

    Soft furnishing in hotel very nice. beds very comfortable, beverage facilities good, good English breakfast.

    No hot water on the Sunday morning, apologies were non existent. Do not like your paying the bill procedure we do not like having to give out pin number 3 times this is the first hotel that we have stayed at that the system works like this, think you should change it.
