    "I was very please with everything about this hotel, the staff were very friendly throughout the hotel. Our room on the 2nd floor offered magnificent views across Cork, the room was large enough to have a seperate dresser table and dining table as well as the beds, and also had ironing facilities and two hair dryers (one in the spacious bathroom and one by the dresser). So offered a good standard for the oney. The only minor downside is the location, in order to get the magnificent views it's fair to say there is a steep climb from Cork City up the hill to the hotel, whilst it is useful to work out the food/drink it maybe an issue for those with mobility problems. However taxis are readily available and the food is top quality in the hotel anyway." (97112633)

    "It might be of use for someone less fit to be made aware of the gradient of the hill ! I suppose the address contains a hint, but it's a bit strenuous on foot, with luggage, from MacCurtain Street." (97964657)

    Comfortable room, splendid prospect from balcony, helpful staff.

    Loved the old fashioned regal atmosphere, modern fittings but a step back in time, which was pleasant. Good staff willing to help and go the extra yard.

    The breakfast was adequate but was not the full Irish that was promised, just ordinary fried breakfast. Where was the soda bread and the potato bread?

    "Our stay was for four nights, We where there for the cork jazz, the hotel was far enough away for peace and quiet but close enough to walk into town. Very polite staff and very helpful. Breakfast was excellent and cooked to order so it was lovely and hot and served on hot plates." (99498598)

    Lovely clean room, plenty of space, bathroom lovely and clean

    Didn't dislike anything

    l emplacement de l hotel est tres bien et agreable ambiance

    nous avons change de chambre et les 2 seches cheveux etaient defectueux le restaurant doit faire un effort sur l originalite des plats, ce n est pas vraiment un gourmet restaurant

    staff very nice

    They were decorating and strong smell of paint.Bathroom only set for 1 person and the noise of the water pressure was terrible.

    "We booked this hotel on a recommendation and we certainly wasn't dissapointed, it was very comfortable and friendly, it is in a quiet part of the city but within walking distance of the main city. The walk back is a bit of a struggle all uphill, but we had been warned!!! I can only think of one negative point and that is a swimming pool would complete a holiday break." (99517210)

    The Hotel was in a prime location and the rooms were very spacious and well equipped and spotless, the food was excellent, and the staff were very friendly and helpful, I would definately stay again.

    "Good hotel with great views of City, although a good 15/20 mins walk down to centre, it is very hilly and would suggest people take a taxi back up!" (3305410480)

    The first room we were given had building work going on outside. On speaking to reception we were offered an alternative which was very nice

    "The distance from the hotel to the center of town ( Patricks Street ) takes about 30 minutes by walking. The hotel is located on quite a steep hill and thus while i enjoyed the walk some people may find it excessive, particularly when returning after a nights entertainment. The hotel is lovely, very well maintained, clean. Breakfeast is excellant and the staff do go out of their way to assist you. Parking is safe and secure. The views of the city from the front facing rooms are excellent, they make a lovely picture. I stayed in the hotel on a Wednesday and Thursday night and found the hotel on those particular nights to be very quiet. All in all a very nice hotel, good value for money, close to town and all its sights and i certainly will return." (3305179373)

    The hotel as a whole, including the grounds, car parking area is very clean and well maintained. The area the hotel is located in is very nice. The views from the hotel is stunning. Be sure to ask for a front facing room. Breakfeast was excellant. Staff are very friendly.

    the room did not provide any insulation fron noise. you hear people talking in the hall outside the room, you hear people talking standing outside the front door of the hotel..very noisy overall.

    Spacious, well appointed room with lovely bathroom. Friendly staff particularly in the restaurant. Wonderful food.
